8:30AM

Bright and early Sunday mornings, we gather for our 8.30am service. This service takes from the Anglican Prayer Book in its form but very contemporary and casual in it’s feel.

Perhaps the most formal of our services it is nevertheless still very accessible. Attracting many from their 50s and up this service focussed on the word and prayer. The music is an organ yet a mixture of hymns and chorus are played.

As you arrive you’ll be given a computer generated name tag to stick on your shirt.

Every fortnight we share in the Lord’s Supper together and everyone for whom this is an act of faith in Jesus death is invited to participate. Everything you need for church (Bible, hymn book, Prayer book) is provided or displayed on a screen for you. We usually take up an offertory each week, however there is no compulsion on anyone to contribute. At the end of the service we move outside (weather permitting) for some morning tea and fellowship.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any kids or youth programs at our 8:30am service. If you have kids from birth to Year 8, check out our 10AM service. If your kids are in Year 9 or older, check out our 6PM service. Both those services are also a good option if you’re looking for something more contemporary in style.

Antony Barraclough
Senior Minister

Antony Barraclough (Bazz) became the Senior Minister at St Matthew's Anglican Church in December 2015. His first association with the church was as a Student Minister in 1995 and 1996.

He is now leading the church into its next phase of growth as NorthLight Anglican Church, so that we may continue to see lives transformed through the grace of Jesus Christ. He'd love to hear from you!
