How it works
NorthLight is committed to training new ministers for gospel work, and we provide our apprentices with practical coaching, and financial support while they study. Resourcing training is costly, but we make it a priority to support our trainees so that they don't have to work second jobs while undergoing theological study, or completing apprenticeships. All ministry at NorthLight is funded by donations from Church members, but our local grown trainees are encouraged to learn the skills of fundraising directly. This isn't just for practical reasons. by supporting our trainees financially, you are encouraging them with the knowledge that there are people who support their ministry directly. You are encouraging them and giving a strong affirmation to continue on their path of serving Jesus through vocational ministry.
Presently, we have three trainees who are paid through direct fundraising.
Lucy Mills,
Is a full time ministry apprentice. Her work includes serving in Music, Youth, Kids and Young Adult ministries.
Ruby Gorham,
Works part time in Kids ministry while studying a Diploma of Theology at Youthworks College.
Josh Spencer,
Works part time while studying a Bachelor of Theology at Moore College.
