There are many opportunities for the women of NorthLight to gather for fellowship, read God’s word, and pray.

Liz stewart

Before coming on staff at Northlight Liz worked as a Nurse, particularly in Paediatric Palliative Care.

Liz is married to Rob and they have three grown up daughters . She enjoys time with her family, having fun with her grandkids, walking, craft and tennis.

Liz oversees the Women’s Ministry at Northlight and leads the Women’s Pastoral Care Team. She has a strong commitment to encouraging and fostering a community that encourages women in their faith, and cares for them as they walk through the different challenges of life.

Her main area of Pastoral Care is to the women at the 6pm Service at St Matthew’s West Pymble

jeya Bayne

Jeya has been part of Northlight since 2017 and loves serving on the Women’s Pastoral Care Team. She believes in the power of prayer and God’s Word and enjoys walking alongside women in both life’s joys and challenges, always pointing to His love and strength.

Beyond women’s ministry, Jeya volunteers as an Assistant Children’s Supervisor with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), works part-time as a Medical Secretary, and treasures time with her family and four much- loved pets.

My name is Chisomo, which means 'Grace of God.' Most people call me Chichi. I’m married to the amazing Noah Gillham, and we love dancing, laughing, and enjoying coffee together.

We love the gospel and strive to live each day with the hope and expectation that the Lord could return at any moment—even tomorrow.

WOMEN’S GROWTH GROUPS

At Northlight we want to encourage and faciliate women. There are several Women’s Growth Groups at Northlight.Two groups meet at St Matthews West Pymble on thursday morning, one of which is primarily for mothers with young children.

There are evening groups available for those who find this time of day more suitable for meeting up with other women.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE MAKING

Although not strictly only for women, the Gingerbread House making afternoons/ evenings are an enjoyable event to bring friends and family to. An easy way to be creative and have fun.

EVENTS DURING THE YEAR

During the year the Team organizes Women’s events to facilitate friendship, encouragement and support amongst the all the women in the Northlight Community. There is a yearly Women’s Weekend Conference, lunches and an Annual End of Year Women’s Church Service. We also enjoy going to the Annual One love Conference together. We meet together to grow in our faith, to encourage our sisters in Christ, to praise God, to pray and to learn from God’s Word.

CRAFT GROUPS

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

If you enjoy anything Crafty, or would like to learn, you would be very welcome to join the group that meets every Wednesday.

It is a relaxed afternoon with lots of opportunity to chat and enjoy coffee together. They meet in the St Matthew’s Hall from 1:30 – 3:30pm.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

There is another Craft Group that meets on the first Saturday of every month.

They get together in the Hall at All Saints West Lindfield from 1-4pm. This is also a relaxing time to meet together to chat, create, eat and have coffee. No previous skills needed!
