YOUTH MINISTER
YOUTH MINISTER

NorthLight Youth is a community of young people in Years 7-12, centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that the good life is lived with Jesus + Mates and that's what our Youth ministry is all about: relationship with Jesus and relationships with each other. Our youth ministry is a thriving safe space for young people to come together. All our sessions are supervised by members of a team of over 30 adults who have completed a Safe Ministry Training Course, and hold a current Working With Children Check.

Our Youth Program is run at our West Pymble location.

Tuesday nights Years 9-10 meet at West Pymble to dig into the Word of God and talk about it in an open and discussion based format.

Monday nights Years 11-12 meet at West Pymble to dig into the Word of God and talk about it in an open and discussion based format.

Sunday 6pm Church

We encourage our youth to be a part of our wider church and to get involved in our 6PM service. This service is casual, contemporary and aimed at youth and young adults in particular. It’s another great way to meet each week and involves singing, praying, bible reading, a sermon, supper and more.

Annual Getaways

Our camps are some of the most exciting times of the year for youth. Every camp promises fun, fellowship and learning about our great God!

Summer camp

January school holidays.

Summit camp is the best way to launch your year at Youth at Northlight! Every January, we all head away together, from our brand-new year 7s, to our veteran year 12s. Gear up for four days of hot, sweaty, summer fun as we come together in fellowship to play games, praise God and bury ourselves in the Word. Every year is even better than the last, and it's the best way to experience Northlight youth community, so get around it!

KYCK

Katoomba Youth Christian Convention

Looking for a crazy, faith–changing experience? Then come to KYCK! Our senior youth (years 9–12) will be heading up into the Blue Mountains together for an unforgettable weekend at the Katoomba Conference Centre. Join 2000 other youth from all over the country in a massive warehouse to sing praises to God and hear from his word. Every year, stacks of kids commit their lives to Jesus at KYCK, so if you're checking out Jesus, this is the place to be. If you already follow God, KYCK promises to ignite your faith and give you a whole new love of God.

LiT

Leaders in Training.

LiT is our spring camp for senior youth (years 9–12). It's hosted and run by an Anglican organisation. Youthworks, who partner with and supports churches all over Sydney. It's aimed at youth who are firm in their faith and ready to take it to the next level. It's a brilliant time and you'll meet heaps of other youth from around Sydney, but it's also pretty hard-core. You'll be pushed like never before to think about your faith, what it means, and how you can use your gifts for the glory of God. The whole week is about growing you as a Christian, as a leader and as a servant of Jesus and his people. If you're looking to gain crucial leadership skills and expand your Bible knowledge and understanding, this camp is for you!

Every year, we send a few leaders along with our youth to support them through the week.

Study camp

year 12

Get a great week of study, make your friends and enjoy your own bed each night! Over the week, you will spend 24+ hours in instructor-focused study time with the ideal study environment, free from the distractions of home. During the week, a three-hour Practice exam session and an extra optional study session will be held. Each day, we will also have a short talk exploring the claims of Jesus in a relaxed format, along with discussion groups.
