Every Sunday at NorthLight, we hold different services across the day for our church to gather in community under God’s Word. Each service is styled differently, though the sermons usually remain the same. Find out about each service below.
We can't wait to meet you this Sunday
Bright and early Sunday mornings, we gather for our 8.30am service. This service takes from the Anglican Prayer Book in its form but very contemporary and casual in it’s feel.
Perhaps the most formal of our services it is nevertheless still very accessible. Attracting many from their 50s and up this service focussed on the word and prayer. The music is an organ yet a mixture of hymns and chorus are played.
As you arrive you’ll be given a name tag to stick on your shirt.
Every fortnight we share in the Lord’s Supper together and everyone for whom this is an act of faith in Jesus death is invited to participate. Everything you need for church is provided or displayed on a screen for you. We usually take up an offertory each week, however there is no compulsion on anyone to contribute. At the end of the service we move outside (weather permitting) for some morning tea and fellowship.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any kids or youth programs at our 8:30am service. If you have kids from birth to Year 8, check out our 10AM service. If your kids are in Year 9 or older, check out our 6PM service. Both those services are also a good option if you’re looking for something more contemporary in style.

Antony Barraclough (Bazz) became the Senior Minister at St Matthew's Anglican Church in December 2015. His first association with the church was as a Student Minister in 1995 and 1996.
He is now leading the church into its next phase of growth as NorthLight Anglican Church, so that we may continue to see lives transformed through the grace of Jesus Christ. He'd love to hear from you!
We can't wait to meet you this Sunday
Sunday at 10 at West Pymble is a wide and diverse community and we welcome people of all ages, stages and backgrounds. Just like every service at NorthLight, we meet together to see lives transformed by the grace of our Lord Jesus.
Each week, the service involves a mix of prayer, Bible reading, singing led by a contemporary church band, a sermon and time for announcements. We love that kids are involved in our service with kids talks, songs and prayers. Once a month we celebrate communion together, and many weeks there will also be a time of confession, which is a chance to reflect upon your relationship with God and others. There’s no pressure to take part in anything you’re uncomfortable with - we’re just happy you’re here!
The best way to find out about our service is to visit us on a Sunday. We'd love to meet you and chat over a cup of coffee and morning tea after the service.

Also referred to as Sunday@6, our 6pm service is a contemporary service orientated towards older youth (Years 9-12), young adults, and the young-at-heart. Everyone dresses very casually and comfortably here.
We often start the service with songs, led by our band made up of church members. We sing modern worship songs. All the words will be projected on an overhead screen, but there’s no pressure to join in until you’re comfortable. During one of the songs, a reminder about giving to the work of Jesus is often made, which is one way that our church members give to the work of our church. If you’re new, there is no compulsion to give.

At the end of service (around 7:30pm), everyone hangs around for some supper/dinner and a chat. Hang around as long as you like! It’s also a chance to meet and chat with people from our staff team.
Every week after the service, a number of our church members continue in fellowship over dinner somewhere local - we would love for you to join us!
We encourage all Senior Youth (Years 9-12) to attend the 6pm service each week as a way to grow, connect and participate in our church community.
One of the blessings of our 6 pm service is its intergenerational character. The older members of the service get together several times a year for fellowship and encouragement, social events, and to spur each other on in faith. All those in this age bracket are welcome. To receive notification of events as they arise, you could be included in the OASIX WhatsApp group.
